National Tourism Board Uses YouTube

A couple of months back India launched its ‘Incredible India’ campaign on YouTube, which really shows how tourism boards can leverage the social media space.

It’s hard to measure how much money they may have spent to develop this micro site on YouTube, but they could have done this without spending the money on the micro site.

Don’t get me wrong I’m glad to see tourism boards leveraging social media, this is where marketers should be going, but I really think uploading videos to YouTube and tagging it correctly would have done the trick.

As an idea, they could have built a micro site embed the code from YouTube for all the videos and create a vanity url such as anything you can think of and support with other online marketing efforts or integrate it with offline campaigns.

Again, kudos to Tourism India for going into the social media space. Enjoy a taste of India below.
